Time of Visitation

From the day that the Lord had made coats of skins to cover Adam and Eve up until He came on Palm Sunday riding on a donkey almost four thousand years had passed. This covering of skins would speak of the redemption that would some day take place when Christ would come as the Lamb of God to take away man’s nakedness. Seth’s offering would be another sign of great faith and that he understood a portion of God’s plan for the Lamb of God. “By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaks.” (Heb. 11:4)

The sequel of events that take place before the Lord covers Adam and Eve are prophetic within themselves and speak of events that are to take place before the redemption of humility; such as the curse that was to come upon this earth, the change in the nature of man, the judgment that would be imposed upon this age. Imposed because it was a forcible event unwelcome by all of creation and imposed upon all creation. For we read in Romans 8:20-21 that “The creation was made subject to vanity, not willingly (imposed), by reason of Him who has subjected the same in hope, because the creation itself shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption.” “For we know that  the whole of creation groans and travails in pain all together even until now.” (Romans 8:18)

For in Zion the Lord has set a feast, a rejoicing in the face of opposition for we know that He will destroy the covering cast over all people. The veil of death spread over all nations, the rebuke of His people. For the Lord shall swallow up death in victory, He shall wipe away tears from off all faces. The curse shall be removed. The Lord shall overturn the serpents subtlety “for in that day the Lord with His sore and great and strong sword  shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and He shall slay the dragon that is in the sea of humanity.” (Isaiah 27:1)

“There was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, and prevailed not; neither was their place found anymore in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent called the Devil, and Satan, which has deceived the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. There was rejoicing with loud voices in heaven saying, now is come salvation and strength and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of the brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. Yet, they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony, for they loved not their lives unto the death. (Rev. 12:7-11)

Yes, the events that took place in Genesis are prophetic! For the Lord declares the ends from the beginning. The Lord said, “Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil; and now lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life and eat and live for ever. Therefore the Lord God sent man forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken. He drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way to keep the way of the tree of life.” (Gen. 3:22-24)

The Lord would not allow man to live forever in a sinful nature. It was God’s mercy that drove man from the garden and away from the tree of life. Christ is still the way to the life in God’s presence. In the tabernacle in the wilderness the veil that led into the presence of God was made with cherubims (Exodus 26:31) that reminds the high priest that only by the blood of an innocent lamb could he enter the Holy place and only one time a year to make atonement for himself and the people of God. When Christ our passover lamb came He was also the true high priest of God. He offered himself for our sins, His blood was taken and offered once for all. When Christ died on the cross He said it is finished. He gave up His ghost, the veil with the cherubims guarding the way to the tree of life was rent from top to bottom making the way open to once again enter the garden.

When Mary came to the  tomb she saw two cherubims sitting one at the the head and one at the feet of where Jesus lay. And they said “Why weepest thou? Whom seekest thou?” and when she turned she saw Jesus. The angels that had guarded the way to the tree, and had kept men from partaking of eternal life until they had their innocence replaced, no longer kept men from it, but welcomed them and revealed Jesus unto them. When Jesus rode into Jerusalem many missed their visitation. Now after almost 1986 years from His death on the cross, once again we are drawing nigh to His coming again in Glory!

Prophetic signs tell us that the time is near. Will you miss your hour of  visitation? The price has been paid, the veil is rent, the cherubims are removed, the way is now open! Will you come? The blood had been delivered, the judgement of God had been pacified. Jesus is our propitiation, the covering between our unrighteousness, and God’s righteous judgments. The way has been made. God is calling all who thirst, come and drink of the waters of life freely!
