OUR HISTORY

Founded by Senior Pastor Steve and Shelly Logan in 1992. URC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, non-denominational Christian organization who believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. We are actively dedicated to providing beneficial services through global and community outreach and engagement, acting as stewards not only to the citizens of our communities, but to people across nations. URC is a core member of many communities in the state of Alabama, supporting families through food, blanket, and clothing drives, street ministry, outreaching to retirement homes and ministering to inmates. This ministry has worked diligently, establishing and supporting ministry foundations and orphanages in India, schooling in Sierra Leone, Africa, providing funding for education in Ecuador; ministering in seven different nations and launching hundreds of revivals across the United States. URC has unlimited potential and seeks to expand such endeavors, becoming more actively involved within the community and across the globe.

Standing in Gods Promise

We are a Christian organization devoted to proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ throughout our local community and the nations. Founded by Pastor Steve Logan in 1992, Upper Room Church Ministries is a beacon in the heart of Alabama. We are dedicated to reach out to those in need and to those that seek a real encounter with God. As mentioned in Luke 19:10 “for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.” We are committed to do the Lord’s works as mentioned in the bible, not only in the spiritual but also in the humanitarian aspect by being a blessing to our communities. We are involved in food distribution, clothing drives, helping children in the foster system, funding education around the world such as a school in Sierra Leone, Africa and Ecuador. As well as outside of the church in outreach settings tent revivals, special meetings, and supporting other ministries.

Over the years the Lord have open doors to many different nations, and we have been able to bring the gospel to remote communities. We’ve seen miracles and wonders as mentioned in the Bible. We’ve witnessed lives being changed, people being delivered from drug-addiction and alcohol, oppressed hearts set free, as well as a multitude of people receiving divine healing from the Lord. We are actively supporting many of these local ministries in several nation such as an orphanage in India, the missions at Ecuador, the building project at Sierra Leone and many more. With the promised of an unfolding vision, we are excited about all the things the Lord has in place for us as a church and we invite you to be part of our story and get involved.

Jesus is the only way

We believe man is created in the image of God but separated from God by sin. Without Jesus we cannot have a relationship with God. We believe we can have a personal relationship with God through salvation, God’s free gift to man.

We believe the Bible is the infallible Word of God, inspired by the Holy Ghost . The Bible is our creed. We believe in being born of the spirit and baptized in the spirit. We believe in one hope of our calling.

Water & Spirit Baptism

We believe in water baptism, as taught and demonstrated by Jesus, as the way for believers to identify with the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. Also, we believe the baptism of the Holy Ghost is a gift from God that empower us to develop the character of Christ in our daily walk.
